Hello to everyone from various parts of my world! I hope that this blog will allow me to share the experience I’m getting ready to have at IMPACT! Design for Social Change. As I sat on the beach listening to the Rappahannock yesterday morning, I complained that I didn’t want to leave the…

JMU CreateAthon onCampus has hit the 5pm hour with a check-in, coordinating tomorrow’s critique session, editing video and designing websites!  We just finished up discussing each of the 5 group’s progress before they break for the evening, though everyone is having this overall sense of, “I dont want to go…i want to finish my designs!” It has been a GREAT ride watching CreateAthon onCampus grow to another place. Can’t wait to see the results.

Even though it’s in the mid-40s and rainy we are loving our time with these JMU kids.  The entire JMU staff has been very welcoming and it seems these students are just as jazzed about participating in COC as our VCU kids.  Peyton has attached herself to a group redesigning a poster for the newly named, “LC” (Learning Center). I love seeing her work (she is a professor, through and through).  Keep checking back to see how the rest of our day goes!
